If you're interested in last year's trip to Alaska, that blog address is www.rogersalaskaadventure.blogspot.com

The trip for 2012 will be to New England and the Canadian Maritime Provinces. I'll be posting that trip at: www.maritimeprovinces2012.blogspot.com

More to follow!!

NOTE: Contrary to what I originally wrote about enlarging the pictures, the web site has changed its software. So to enlarge a picture, doubleclick on the picture and go to "Picture" on the tool bar, go down to "Zoom", and select a magnification for the picture. Once you've finished looking at the enlarged picture, bo back and change the Zoom to 100%.

Sky Prairie, WI to South Bend, IN

OK, answer to last night's quiz:  Georgia O'Keefe!

I left Sky Prairie this morning and rode over to Milwaukee, about 70 miles to the east.  I had visited the Harley-Davidson Museum a couple times before and always enjoyed the experience.  The museum is really quite a facility and is very well done.  Here are a couple pictures of the outside:

Fittingly, the museum is in an industrial section of Milwaukee.  Outside the museum is a statue that I've always liked:

Inside the museum there are a number of displays of Harley motorcycles, Harley business records, Harley motorcycle gear, and Harley racing history.  Here are a couple of the better displays inside the museum:

And, finally, the "Captain America" Bike from "Easy Rider":

All in all, a very nice museum and probably worth the price of admission even if you're not a motorcycle junkie.

I left the museum around noon today and headed over to South Bend, Indiana.  I tell you what, it doesn't matter when you do it, riding through or around Chicago is for the birds.  Anyway, I arrived around 4:00 (time zone change didn't help), so tomorrow it's the Studebaker museum in the morning and then over to Auburn, IN for the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Museum.  Home on Wednesday.

Miles today:  319.  Total:  6,760.
